Dating Script Auto Mail

The Auto-mail section of the AbleDating dating script Admin Control Panel lets administrators control what dating script members receive upon registration, password retreival, invitations, etc. The Auto-mail administration function allows you to modify what the dating script sends to members under certain circumstances.

When modifying the automatic e-mails you can make use of the dating script's special modifiers, or aliases:

{name} - The username of a member that the automatic e-mail is sent to or another member who has made an action.
{title} - The name of your dating script powered website.
{password} - The password of a member (in MD5-Hash if flagged [enabled] in Main Options).
These modifiers are changed into the corresponding form when the automatic e-mails is being sent.

Modifying Automatic E-Mails

Modifying and Customizing Auto-Mails is done from inside the dating script and is pretty easy to accomplish.

Subject - This field denotes the subject of the Automatic E-mail sent by the dating script. It can contain the special modifiers (aliases) which will be converted before being sent to a member.

Text mail - This is the body of the e-mail, which can contain anything (as long as it is relevant to the purpose of the automatic e-mail), including the dating script special aliases.

Edit - Saves the changes made to the current auto-mail. Note that if you choose another auto-mail from the colomn on the left without clicking the dating script EDIT button, changes will be lost.

Subjects Colomn - This colomn, positioned to the left of the dating script e-mail fields let dating script administrators switch from one automatic e-mail to another. (The list of actions performed by members for a certain e-mail to be sent by the dating script can be read below.)

To modify one of the dating script automatic e-mails simply choose one from the left Subjects Colomn, change the Subject and the Text mail fields, paying special attention to the aliases (special modifiers), and click the Edit button to save changes.

Examples

On Join E-Mail:

The text inside the dating script Subject field is:

Welcome to {title}! - We hope you find your love!

The text inside the dating script Text mail field is:

Dear {name}, thank you for registering at {title}. We are very proud of our dating website and welcome you to stay around, chat and, perhaps, find the love of your life!

Make sure that you keep your account details in a safe place:

Your Username: {name}
Your Password: {password}

Regards,
The dating script Administration

Let's say Uncle_Pete joins your dating resource, called "Super Dating". This automatic e-mail will be sent to him upon registration. And this is what it will look like:

Welcome to Super Dating! - We hope you find your love!

Dear Uncle_Pete, thank you for registering at Super Dating. We are very proud of our dating website and welcome you to stay around, chat and, perhaps, find the love of your life!

Make sure that you keep your account details in a safe place:

Your Username: Uncle_Sam
Your Password: samismyname123

Regards,
The dating script Administration

Note that all fields can be filled in any language. AbleDating 2.4 uses multi-lingual dating script technology, which 'standartisizes' any language, making it compatible to the dating script programming code, letting the script operate freely in any language with any encoding switched on.

It is also important to note, that the dating script automatically identifies the {name}alias to the member receiving the e-mail (upon Registration, for example) and to the member who is notified of some other member's action (receiving a new message from another member, for example). This means that the {name} alias can only be used for one member. For example, member_A sends member_B a Private Message. member_B will receive a default dating script e-mail notification stating: You have new message from {name}. // You have a new message from member_A. If you change the Text e-mail to {name}, you have new message from {name}. - the e-mail sent out by the dating script will look like: member_A, you have a new message from member_A. Notice how member_A was used twice, as the same alias had been used.

Automatic E-Mails Subject List

The following table contains every element of the Automatin E-Mails Subjects List (placed on the left of the fields) and the actions made by dating script members.

Join - This dating script Auto E-Mail is sent out when a member signs up, registering at your dating script powered web-resource.
Forget - This is the Password Retrieval e-mail which is sent out when a member click the "Forgot Password" link and fills in his details for his password to be sent out to his mail-box. Note that if the password is stored in MD5-Hash it will not be decoded in the e-mail, the member will receive a long MD5-Hash Code, which can only be decyphered by ABK-Soft. The MD5-Hash can be disabled from the Main Options in the dating script AdminCP.
Mail message - This dating script generated e-mail is sent to users when they receive a PM (private message) from another user. Here, the alias {name} is replaced by the member name of the sender.
Interest - This e-mail is generated and sent out automatically when member_A clicks the "INTERESTED" button in member_B's profile. Note, that the alias {name} is used to denote the sender, i.e. member_A.
Admin delete - This e-mail is sent out to a member when his/her profile is deleted by the dating script Administrator. This is usually due to the violation of the terms and conditions of the dating script powered web-site.
End gold - This dating script Auto-Mail notifies a member when his Gold Membership has expired. This Auto-Mail can contain a link to proceed to the prolonging the Gold Membership by making a payment.
Partner Join - This e-mail is sent out by the dating script code automatically when a Partner/Affiliate joins your dating website.
Partner forget - This e-mail is send out the password of a dating script Affiliate upon request. Note that if the password is stored in MD5-Hash it will not be decoded in the e-mail, the Affiliate will receive a long MD5-Hash Code, which can only be decyphered by ABK-Soft. The MD5-Hash can be disabled from the Main Options in the dating script AdminCP.
Partner delete - This automatic e-mail is sent by the dating script engine to notify a dating site Affiliate/Partner that his/her account has been disabled and deleted.
Invite - This is an invitation e-mail existing [registered] members can send to their friends through the AbleDating dating script engine. This is a great feature to advertise though existing members and get them to invite their friends to the dating site. There is no need for existing members to type in an invitation message, all they do is provide an e-mail address, or more, to which the automatic invitation will be sent.

Tip: Try to be as creative as possible. Simple "Your user/pass: {name}/{password}" do not look good, in fact they look simply awful. Use your imagination and sense of humor to make your members literally enjoy sending out invitations, and 'forgetting passwords'!
