Community Script Contacts
AbleDating and AbleSpace community script developers have made it a goal to provide several effective and very convenient communication methods between the community site Administrator and the community script members and partners. One of the best and easiest methods of answering questions is through the administration Contacts section. It’s fast, effective and you don’t have to press many buttons and choose different settings.Basically the section contains only two sub-sections: the Contact From Users and Contact From Partners. These two conveniently divided sub-sections allow you to quickly browse the questions sent through the community script form online, whether these questions come from your partners (future partners) or from your members (and unregistered visitors).
>>> Contact From Users
Clicking this sub-section, or clicking the Contacts in the main menu will bring up the main Contacts From Users screen. Here you are able to see all the unanswered messages that have been sent through the contact form on your AbleDating dating site or your AbleSpace social network. If the screen is empty – this means that there are no unanswered messages for you.
When visitors and members leave messages through the dating site or community script “Contact Us” section online you will see the messages here. Each different message is contained in its own block, separated by two horizontal lines.
The message is top-most, you will see it at the top of each block, whether it is a comment a questions or just spam.
ID - When messages are sent, they will have their own message ID number in the internal “Contacts” community script database, for PHP script reference purposes. This ID is not visible to the sender, and is of no use to Administrators. The ID is deleted once a message has been answered or deleted.
Name - This field denotes the name that was typed in by the user making contact through your dating site. The field is mandatory and can be left blank by the enquirer. Members will most probably enter their dating member name, which can be used for reference while solving some issues that members may have. Anonymous messages can also be sent, the names of the senders might contain irrelevant characters, a false name (like John Doe) or be simply absent.
E-mail - The e-mail address field is mandatory for users, as they will be getting the reply to their e-mails automatically by the dating script engine and the server POP and SMTP services. Users may mistype their e-mail address, or provide a fake one on purpose. If you wish to make contact with your users by regular e-mail, i.e. not through the dating script Administration Control Panel, you can simply send a reply to the e-mail provided.
Answering a Message
Messages are answered instantly in two simple steps. First, type in your answer into the text-field inside the relevant block. Then press the Answer button. The AbleDating dating script will instantly use the server’s POP and SMTP services to send the e-mail automatically. Further correspondence (if a user replies to your answer) will not be handled though the community script Administration Panel, but will go through to your Admin E-mail.
Deleting a Message
The Delete button, or rather link, can be found under the sender details (ID, Name and E-mail, see above) in each and every dating script unanswered message block. Click the Delete link to instantly delete a message in the corresponding contact message block. WARNING - Deleting a message is irreversible and cannot be undone. Clicking the button once removes the message for good. Make sure you know what message is about to be deleted before pressing the Delete button.
>>> Contact From Partners
Hovering your mouse over the main Contacts option in the main menu will bring out two other options, the latter of which is Contact From Partners. Messages sent from the Affiliates section of your dating site or community script powered social network are all displayed here. These visitors will most probably ask questions about the Affiliates Network Scheme that is available at your dating site or community network. If the section is empty, then no messages are waiting to be answered.
When potential affiliates leave messages they appear in this sub-section. Each message is displayed in its own block, separated by a line from above and a line from below the message itself. These can also be referred to as “mini-areas” or “divisions”.
The question/message itself is at the top in each mini-area. The dating system organizes messages oldest first.
ID - This is a unique number for each contact message made by the dating script affiliate section visitors. The number is simply an internal database reference and is of no practical use.
Name - The name can be left out by the visitor or simply made up for anonymity purposes. But can be used for politeness in your answers and for future refenrence.
E-mail -This is the e-mail that the visitor will expect the answer to arrive to. The dating script/community system automatically sends your answers through the dating script’s engine. This e-mail can also be used for future contact purposes and for keeping records; but note that keeping such information for re-selling, spam, etc. is illegal and should not be attempted.
Answering an Affiliate Message
Two simple steps should be followed in order to answer a message. First of all you have to type in your reply into the text-field. This reply will get parsed automatically by the dating script system and sent as soon as you press the Answer button. Make sure you’ve completely answered the question, double check spelling and other mistakes and hit the button. The AbleDating/AbleSpace engine automatically send your reply to the e-mail that was provided by the enquirer. Further replies by the enquirer will be handled by your e-mail client or online inbox, as specified in the Admin E-Mail Settings of the dating system.
Deleting an Affiliate Message
Each Delete link is positioned under the message details (Name, ID and E-mail, see above) in each message division, or area. Click this Delete link to instantly remove a message without answering (in case of spam, irrelevant and void messages). WARNING - Be very careful when deleting dating script Affiliate messages. The dating script system will not ask any ‘Are you sure you want to delete? [Yes]/[No]’ questions; the message will simply be removed right away. Be very careful.
