Dating Website Video
ABK-Soft has worked hard in order to integrate a YouTube-like system into both AbleDating dating script and AbleSpace social network software. The dating script engine uses the latest Flash technology and Flash server-side scripting tools to provide a dynamic, fast and efficient feature for dating and community members on your website.Most members will gladly use and enjoy the dating script Video Upload and dating script Video Gallery tools available, but as your website grows bigger post-moderation gets pretty tough. Post-moderation is the process of browsing content (in this case dating Video content uploaded by members), reviewing it, and performing certain actions (deleting, editing, etc.) directly on your website. This means that the while, or before, you moderate your dating script Videos section, each and every video is available to your dating site members. The disadvantages of post-moderation is that spam, explicit content, advertising might be viewed by the dating website member before you see the videos. ABK-Soft has designed some effective dating script and social network pre-moderation (contrary to post-moderation) tools, including the Video Approval tool.
Usually dating Videos are automatically added as soon as they are uploaded by members unless the Video Approval setting is enabled in the Administrator Control Panel, Options section. Enabling the Video Approval feature allows you, the dating website administrator, to pre-moderate all Video content. In the pre-moderation mode any Video uploaded will not be added to the dating website’s Video Gallery; instead it will be kept on the server until you approve it from the Video Approval section of the dating script Administration Control Panel.
The Video Approval dating script Admin CP screen contains a list of all the pending Videos (i.e. dating Videos uploaded but not added to your website yet). These videos are waiting for your approval. You can watch them, approve them, delete them, and set them as Featured (see below). Each pre-moderation step is described below. If no videos are waiting for your approval, the screen will be empty.
Watching Uploaded Videos
To watch a dating script gallery Video simply click on its thumbnail. The page refreshes and a Flash Video Player is displayed. After watching the Video click your browser’s Back button to return to the list and perform other actions.
Approving Uploaded Videos
To approve a Video select the Add radio button (first column) and click the Modify button at the bottom of the list. The Video will be added for all the dating script visitors and members to enjoy. You can select the Add option for several videos at once and click the Modify button. Added Videos can be deleted from the dating script Video Gallery by the users or by the administrator.
Deleting Uploaded Videos
Some Videos may contain spam, advertisements, explicit content, etc. If these Videos infringe the rules, terms and conditions of your dating website or social network you have the right to delete them. To remove a Video from the pending list (deleting it from the server) simply select the Delete radio button (second column) and press the Modify button at the bottom of the list to delete the Video. You can Delete and/or Approve several videos, by setting the needed radio buttons for each dating script Video and clicking the Modify button.
WARNING! The action cannot be undone, once you delete the video it cannot be recovered.
Featuring Uploaded Videos
Featured Videos are displayed on the Home Page (not the Welcome Page) of your dating website and community. To Feature a dating Video simply set its Featured radio button (third column) by clicking on it and pressing the Modify button at the bottom. This will automatically approve the video, add it to the dating website Video Gallery and set it as a Featured Video on the Home Page. There is a set limit to the amount of Featured Videos. Once the limit is exhausted (up to 6 videos) a newly set Featured Video will remove the oldest Featured Video (it will not be deleted).
All the approval settings can be set for any amount of dating script videos together, and by clicking the Modify button changes will be saved for all the videos.
Tip: If you select one of the radio buttons for a video by mistake you will have to refresh the page (hit F5) to take the mark off the video.
